Tulum is a yogis paradise! Tranquil, crystal clear waters, powdery white sand beaches, amazing yoga, great food, mayan ruins, and healing powers rooted deep inside the earth. We start the days with an invigorating vinyasa flow morning practice, enjoy healthy and fresh meals, offer free time to relax by the Caribbean Sea or explore the wonders of the area. Afternoon practice is a yin or restorative to wind down the day.  You will reconnect and rejuvenate yourself in this amazing Mayan land.  You know you deserve it!

* Tulum has some amazing food and we send you our Recommended Restaurant list just before the retreat to help you navigate the many wonderful choices!  We may also venture out as a group on occasion if that appeals.

** Please note airfare and airport transfers are not included in this package. Taxis are not allowed to wait outside the Cancun International airport at arrivals so a transfer needs to be arranged for a private car service pick up or there is a local bus that takes you to Tulum town (please review our FAQ page for full details on the bus).

If you would like us to arrange transportation to and from the airport for you please let us know by sending your full flight itinerary and we will send instructions for finding your driver.  We will try our best to pair those arriving at similar times together in an attempt to share the costs (a rate of $85usd per person each way for shared) or if you need a private ride (at a rate of $135usd each way) we are happy make those arrangements.

Room #1 This room has a king bed on the first level and beyond the curtain is a shared double room on the
mezzanine level. There is a full bathroom also ensuite but shared with others. Shared King Bedroom : $1,880usd private; $1,565usd shared bed per person

Room #1 Located on the 2nd floor, this mezzanine room has the king bedroom below separated w/ a curtain.  Shared Double room w/ 2 twin beds : $1,630usd per person.

 

Room #2 Located on the 2nd floor, this mezzanine style room has a curtain for privacy.  Shared Double room w/ 2 twin beds : $1,630usd per person
 

Room #3 Located on the 3rd floor this room has a full bathroom just outside in the hallway to share. Private Queen room w/ ocean views : $2,080usd private; $1,665usd per person

**This itinerary is subject to adjustments, changes in times, locations, or activities as the retreat leaders and hosts see fit. Any change will be on par with our standards or an upgrade in services or location making for an even more amazing experience for the group and our guests. Payments :

Deposits* of $500usd are due to secure your space in the retreat.

The balance of your retreat (minus your $500usd initial deposit*) is due 30 days prior to arrival. All details for this will be emailed to the group two months before the retreat.

You may pay with a credit card via PayPal or you may choose a bank wire transfer or deposit to settle your balance. We also accept Bitcoin.

Roommates should book together. If you would like to share a room and do not have a roommate we will provide one for you if possible. In the case that there is no one to share a room we ask that you take a private economy room instead.

Final balance of your retreat will be due 45 day prior to arrival.  Please let us know if you prefer to pay via bank wire transfer or via credit card with Paypal (4% fee applies). Balances are due upon receipt of invoice. Personal checks are no longer accepted. We are not able to accept physical credit cards in Tulum. All extra activities will be paid in cash in Tulum. Mexican pesos or US Dollars at the daily rate are both accepted.  Thank you for your understanding and promptness with your payments.

Policies:

All initial deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. Balances will be due 45 days prior to retreat start date. Cancellations on or after 45 days prior to retreat dates are non-refundable and non-transferable. This cancellation policy is strict and firm. If you need to leave the retreat early there are no refunds or pro-rates.

There are no refunds for natural disasters. Springtime is highly unlikely to have hurricanes, the weather is the best of the year with calm waters, clear skies, and temperatures in the low 80s.

The acceptance of a verbal or written confirmation from YOGA ADVENTURES TULUM (YATU), YOGA & ADVENTURES WORLDWIDE (Y&AWW) or YOGAMULTIMEDIA.COM  (YM) constitutes your acceptance of the terms and conditions listed herein. Participants are responsible to be adequately insured, therefore Traveler’s Insurance is strongly recommended*. YATU, Y&AWW, YM third party hotels and its staff assume no responsibility nor liability for any delay, loss, damage, injury or accident with regards to persons or property which may be caused by fault or negligence of any third party vendor. This includes hotels, transportation providers, and local operators participating in part for our services. YATU/Y&AWW/YM shall be held harmless for any expense caused by injury or accident, to any participants as well as any loss or damage of personal items while on our tours. We reserve the right to make any changes to services and itineraries, with or without notice, which may become necessary. YATU/Y&AWW/YM are not to be held responsible for changes beyond our control, this includes bad weather or hurricanes; any inconvenience or complication caused by a hurricane’s direct hit, near miss, or significant threat of a hurricane strike. We highly recommend that you purchase trip insurance to protect your investment. AIG offers Travel Guard at affordable rates. You will be asked if you have chosen to purchase insurance or declined at final balance due.

Frequently Asked Questions:

  • Is this part of Mexico safe? While there is always the possibility for crime, this area tends to be very safe. The neighborhood in which the house is located also has security. There is also a housekeeper who lives on site.

  • Is there wifi? Yes! Wifi is available throughout the house.

  • Do I need to speak Spanish? Of course it doesn’t hurt, but for the most part, the people of Tulum are used to English-speaking tourists.

  • Are the rooms air-conditioned? All of the bedrooms are air-conditioned. Please refer to the room description. The communal rooms have ceiling fans and plenty of balcony doors, which tend to remain open, letting a nice breeze in. 

  • Are massages available? Two healing massages are included in the price of the retreat. If you would like additional spa services, they are available.

  • Is clean drinking water available? Yes, there will be plenty of clean drinking water available at the house for you. This water is also used to wash any fruits or vegetables that our chef prepares.

  • How are the mosquitos? Generally, mosquitos tend to be out mostly in the morning and sunset.

About the Teacher

Victor Varana ERYT500

Victor Varana is a yoga, meditation, martial arts, graphic & music arts blender.  He is the founder of YogaMultimedia and creator of Kalam-Balam, the alchemy of yoga.

 

Yogamultimedia RYS is an accredited yoga school and a yoga retreat collective.  Kalam Balam is a method of discipline that combines martial arts, yoga, kriya, meditation and sound healing.

His yoga practice has strong elements of alignment, movement and kriya, spiced with a blend of taoist martial arts and sound healing techniques. He uses all of that in his formulas.

Victor has over 12 years of full time teaching experience and thousands of multilevel teaching hours in Tulum, Mexico, one of the world's most important yoga capitals. He has lead retreats, teacher trainings and workshops internationally, teaching to all kinds of people with a diversity of ages, practice levels and physical condition. Among his students during this time, there are movie and TV celebrities, top models, sport champions and other yoga & meditation teachers that highly recommend him.
